Car hire - we can arrange for you and starts at about £120 per week.
You will need to be over 25 and held a driving licence for 3 years minimum.
Bicycle Hire - you can get push bikes to hire from a number of outlets in Playa Blanca. What an excellent way to get to the Papagayo beaches!
You can hire mopeds and motorbikes too - please check your holiday insurance for whether you are covered.
Walking - fantastic walks from Playa Blanca and Las Brisas to the lighthouse at Faro Park (most south-westerly point) or to the new Marina Rubicon or the dormant volcano of Montana Roja (Red mountain). You can walk around the rim of this ancient volcano
Boats/ Sailing
You can take a number of trips from our local harbour to Las Brisas and Casas del Sol including a submarine ride and the water taxi to the beautiful Papagayo beaches. You can also charter a sail boat with skipper by the hour - please ask at reception.
Ferries and a catamaran run many times daily to Fuertevetura for a day out in Correlejo, the northerly town in Fuerteventura.
Watersports/Surfing/ Jet Skis /Banana boat riding
These are all available at the harbour or Playa Dorada beach in Playa Blanca. Please enquire at reception at Las Brisas or the tourist office.

Time Zone - as in the UK. Lanzarote operates on Greenwich Mean Time
Duty Free - Lanzarote is a duty free island so p[lease check for allowances as if coming from outside the EU
Healthcare - Lanzarote has excellent healthcare centres - bring your EHIC card and passport. There are also many private clinics - please make sure you are insured comprehensively.
The emergency number is 112 - they Cruz roja (Red cross) will come to your rescue.
Chemists (or Farmacia) are very useful on Lanzarote. Most speak excellent English and may negate the need to see a doctor as they can sell quite a lot over the counter.
